Bloody Poetry, a play written by Howard Brenton, revealing the real lives of famous English writers and poets in the early 19th century. This set design explores the world of the characters as if it was a dream. The idea of audience looking into the lives of the characters from an outsider's point of view is present throughout the design. The set design does not have a very strong sense of place as the characters are constantly travelling. Hence, simple elements like frames, gauze screens and lighting will provide hints that there is a change of place, but the audience will need to use their imaginations to create their own unique world of the story.
