Yi Wen is a Set and Costume Designer based in Manchester. She has recently graduated from University of Salford with First Class Honours in Technical Theatre (Production & Design). During her studies, she has been highly active in getting experience to work within the theatre industry and has been awarded the International Student Award by the University of Salford, School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology. Even though her degree was not primarily focused in set and costume design, but this training has provided her a broad and overall understanding of theatre making.

​Yi Wen was borned and raised in Malaysia which had influenced some of her designs. Being brought up from a different country, she believes that it is extremely important to keep an open mind while collaborating with others as there will always be something new that she can learn from them.
